Gisele Bundchen with Ipanema Grendene ShoesShoes must be comfortable and pleasant-looking! It is main motto of the Brazilian shoes manufacturer Grendene. First manufacture from Grendene was opened in 1971 (Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil) and, surprisingly to us, they were making plastic wine bottle covers and step by step they became main shoes-manufacturer in the whole country. This happened due to the talented and far-looking founding-fathers, named Alexandre and Pedro Grendene Bartelle. Nowadays, Grendene has a lot of lines: for kids, adults, men and women. All the equipment of this company is new and qualitative. according to the designers words, they want to make Brazilian country culture popular, to show to the whole world, that is why, they are looking for inspiration on the streets, while going out, having walks in park and in nature. There are 113 people that work in Product Development department. By the way, shoes-designers in Grendene, are not just shoes-designers, they are mostly engineers, economists, lawyers, stylists, businessmen and so on. So, these shoes are a combination of different cultures and styles of life. They are a perfect mixture to your tired feet. Almost all shoes are made from the flexible PVC. Only Grendene has made a technology, which makes shoes comfortable, flexible and gorgeous. There are 5 main brands in Grendene: grendha (it is a brand for women, the are designed for active woman), melissa (for teenagers, these shoes are funny and adorable), for kids (it is a leader of sales), rider (consists of 3 lines: for men, women and kids, produces mostly sport shoes) and, of course, Ipanema Shoes.

Illustration to Grendene Ipanema Shoes 2007First of all, they are for active, beautiful woman. Shoes with tropical ornament, they are the embodiment of the Brazilian beaches and rivers. The new collection 2007 is about nature caring. These shoes are called Ipanema. Gisele Bundchen. Y Ikatu Xingu. Manufacturing of these shoes has strong connection to Indian tribes in Brazil and waters of river Ipanema. The legend is very beautiful. For centuries, boys from tribe Kisedje were leaving their home at the age of 16 and live in the Men’s Houses, until they are not married. But one boy has changed the course of history, he didn’t want to live apart from his mother, so the anger of his tribe made him hide in the bottom waters of the river for 7 days. There he was learning from fishes and when he returned he has strange signs on his body, they meant gratitude, discovery and self-knowledge. Erectly these symbols can be seen on the in-sole of new Grendene shoes collection 2007.

Nowadays, they live exactly as they used to live thousands of years ago. They live in the Xingu Indian Park, in large settlements and Men’s Houses are main and most important parts of the village. The tribe tries to attract Ipanema shoesattention of the society because their lives are threatened by deforestation, it has doubles in recent 10 years.

New collection from Grendene is aimed at drawing attention to this problem and moreover, giving a sum of money from these shoes sale to preserve the headwaters of the Xingu River. Gisele Bundchen is a face and representative of this collection. She has visited homes of these tribes, found out more about their lives and decided to help these people to safe their habitual place of living and this amazing natural masterpiece, as well. These shoes are lovely, comfortable and very noticeable, they will make you feet look astonishing. I already have one – and I am satisfied with them very much!

Dolce and Gabbana are famous Italian designers. These two men are very popular not only in their native cities and in their native country – they are very popular in Hollywood and throughout the world. Among their clients are Monica Belucci, Isabella Rossellini, Kylie Minogue and Madonna. They have two main lines of clothes production, and in both lines they are striving not to follow the existing trends, but to set and create their own. These two used to be not only business partners, but partners in love as well. Nobody knew about this event, until 2005, when they have officially reported about their separation. But, actually, it didn’t influence collections in a bad manner.

They are notorious designers, because advertisements of their clothes sometimes is really provocative and has a lot of contradictions, as to women’s violence, sexual aggression and other types of humiliations. In the last years Dolce and Gabbana mark became extremely popular among artists of the following genres: Rap, Pop and Hip Hop. The best decision in this genre is song My Humps by the Black Eyed Peas. Also, Katie Leung was in the Dolce and Gabbana printed chiffon dress while London premiere of “Harry Potter and the Order of Phoenix”. Beyonce is another star wearing Dolce and Gabbana dress (in Los Angeles at the BET Awards). Rihanna chose something to her own taste – she was in Dolce and Gabbana dress at the Celebration of the Cartier Charity Love Bracelet. Men are not an exception, Brad Pitt Likes to wear lapel suits from these designers, while visiting a Mann’s Chinese Theater in Hollywood. Rose McGowan was strikingly beautiful in Dolce and Gabbane bright red dress in Cannes. Elizabeth Harley shocked India in her too small dress at her own pre-wedding party in Mumbai.

These tow men have used to provoke the public, to keep them in tension! Their dresses are frivolous, too extravagant. it is no use to tell how qualitative they are! Enjoy your view of a new Dolce and Gabbana show 2008!

Due to Isabella Blow in his life started a new period – the period of success and world’s recognition. She became his muse, she can be seen at any picture, any hat. She is his best model, almost all his hats were made to her. He fell in love with her attitude to life, with her boldness and unusualness. She was not afraid to wear a hat in a completely new design and it made them both very popular. He adores his work and Issie. Philip, in his turn, made life of Isabella more interesting, he brought fame to it. She became recognizable because of his hats. It is a never-ending story, a story that is worth telling and noticing. A lot of people are still wondering what he had find in her? It is a tricky question. G-Hotel and Philip Treacy.pgPhilip Treacy is a famous in all over the world hat designer. This outstanding man was born on the 26th of May, 1967 in Ireland (Ahascragh, County Galway) in a large friendly family – parents, seven brothers and a sister. In his childhood he was fond of watching the weddings, as there was not much to do at this small village. Now his permanent place of living is London. Philip started sewing when he was only 5-years-old and that was what he liked doing. His first hats and dresses were made for sister’s dolls and other toys. Materials were various, Philip’s mother had ducks, chickens and other poultry, so the boy used everything: fabric, feathers. Once their neighbor asked: Is it strange for a boy to sew dresses for dolls? And Philip’s father answered, yeah, but if only this can make our boy happy!

In 1985 Treacy went to Dublin and studied there at the National l College of Art and Design, and namely there he started making his famous hats, but, of course, they were just a successful addition to clothes. In 1988 Philip got a place at the Royal College of Art. He was a lucky dog, they don’t have a hat course, so they made experiments on Philip and they both the College and Philip succeeded.

In 1989 he met his future muse – Isabella Blow, she was getting married and chose a medieval theme for her wedding and she didn’t have an appropriate wedding hat. Philip was stunned – Issie was the first person to whom pearls and veiling was completely unnecessary while making a wedding hat.

Then came years of hard-working and world’s recognition. He worked together and for the following people Alexander McQueen’s, Karl Lagerfeld (at Chanel). In 2006 was start a new collection for Umbro. This collection is excepted to be exciting and surprising, yet very unusual and collaborative. Also as the Independent reported in Britain he was announced to be in the 100 most influential gays in Great Britain.

Today, I decided to pay attention to pictures and to write a small story and to share my impressions about one of the well-known brands -Van Cleef Arpels. Actually, I adore their jewelry. A lot of fashion stars and actresses wear it.

So, a small story about a big company! Some people started their acquaintance with Van Cleef and Arpels in such a way:

Anne HathawayLindsay Lohan Van Cleef and Arpels She is wearing earrings and bracelet Palmyre and Dentelle ring by Van Cleef and Arpels.

Dior Debut 2007

Slimane Van Assche

There was a debut at Paris men’s fashion week. A popular brand Christian Dior was represented by Belgian designer Kris van Assche. Van Assche’s style is completely different from the previous designer of this Fashion House Hedi Slimane. Hedi was crazy about rock and roll and its tributes and Kris paid attention to 18th-century style.

It is a completely another story to tell. Just imagine, beautiful models, stand motionless under crystal chandeliers, wearing white clothes, Great deal of attention was paid to the details.

Slimane was noticed by the audience and its fans. He is a talented designer, inventor in the sphere of fashion. Let’s just remember, that Karl Lagerfeld lost 93 pounds just to be fit into his leather suit.

Van Assche was Slimane’s assistant, he was taught his main techniques and style, tendencies and trends. But, society already feels the lack of good things for men. Editor-in-chief of magazine Vogue Hommes International, Olivier Lalanne mentioned that he already misses Slimane. He was a revolutionary. He was not afraid to provoke people and to shock them! People do not believe that it is exactly the situation, when an apprentice exceeds his teacher!

Beckham’s Collection

Victoria Beckham Victoria Beckham’s Collection was coolly achieved by public and just fashion-lovers. Recently Vici has changed her habitual place of living, actually the United Kingdom of Great Britain onto the USA and showed to public her first new line of denim clothes. Victoria herself is very proud of her collection and thinks that it is cool, stylish and fashionable. But world’s society and namely, the founder of the company Dekeyser Fashion – Robert Keyser is not so optimistic. Later he was in charge of Beckham’s denims sales, when she made clothes together with Rock and Republic.

Keyser didn’t like new collection at all, he said, that it is not only too expensive, but also vulgar and gaudy. New models cost a great deal of money, as to clothes made from rather cheap fabric!

Rock and Public is going to break the partnership with ambitious Beckham, not only because of her uninteresting models, but also because of her uncertainty, inconsistency and laziness.

Fashion idol, icon of style – Victoria Beckham has to change her own style! She used to be at the Victoria Beckham - ocean easetop of the world, a lot of people in Britain worshiped her style and followed it closely! But this situation has completely changed with her moving! The USA is a completely another country and its people don’t understand such combinations as a lace dress, while going for a walk or a high platform-sole shoes while going sports!

The USA, this country has no resemblance to the UK at all. The only one style that is appropriate here – casual. You must look beautiful, but not to forget about comfort! As an example, let’s take Jennifer Aniston, she is famous because of her habit to combine extremely expensive denims and usual tops from ordinary cotton.

So, it is time for Vici to face the reality! She had to adapt to new society and change her wearing preferences in order not to be laughed at! Do in Rome as Romans do!

Fashion Icon – Coco Chanel

No doubts, there are a lot of talented, perspective and even genius designers. But she was the first one who created a new style, invented a new fashion industry, violated the rules and can be treated as a decent example to follow.

Chanel clothes

I am talking about Coco Chanel. Nowadays, it is enough to write her name everywhere you want in order to sale everything starting from tights or hairclips. Now, Karl Lagerfeld is in charge of her fashion house and one suit from Chanel costs more than 5,000 dollars. And the cost is not because a prestigious and famous name but first of all, because buying Chanel – you can be sure – your clothes will serve a long period of time – they areCoco-chanel mostly hand-made and look gorgeous, elegant and trendy.

Gabrielle “Coco” Chanel (1883-1971). For she is a fashion idol! When I hear her name, to my mind comes a picture of attractive young woman in black suit with a string of pearls and in this wear she made a revolution in world’s fashion! She created not only fashionable and immortal suits, ageless “little black dress” (that was introduced in 1926) and perfume Channel № 5, she made women believe that they can live their own lives, they can be independent and wear clothes according to their own preferences.

She left misery of her life and decided to conquer the world. And she did it! She opened her first shop in 1912 and explained to women that they can wear comfortable and at the same time elegant things, like: perfectly tailored suits and dresses, accessories, hats, she introduced jersey and short skirts in a common use, perfume and, of course, trousers, that used to be exclusively men’s privilege. As a rule, Coco was wearing manlike clothes and had a boyish look. In 1922 she introduced her own fragrance Chanel № 5, since than her name became a common one! Chanel-logo

Coco Chanel is a legend, her fame is immortal!

Her quotation:

“In order to be irreplaceable one must always be different.”

Appearance of her nickname!

When she was only twenty years old, she sung songs in one cabaret and the most popular song was called Qui a vu Coco dans le Trocadero (Who saw Coco at the Trocadero?). People really liked it and they cried Coco! Coco! And it became her nickname. Actually, she didn’t like it but, she could do nothing.
