As we already know, there are a lot spas. They are gaining popularity very quickly. A new type of spa – “fish spa” has just appeared, but it is already drew a lot of attention and visitors. People haven’t even heard about it before and know they want to try it on their own body.

Fish spa procedure in Singapore

In this spa we can a see a swimming-pool with hot water and schools of small fishes in it. These fishes are called doctor fish (nibble fish, kangal fish), these fished live only in fresh water, it is so funny but they can live in 43-degree-hot waters and are used for the treatment of patients with skin diseases (such as psoriasis). Schools of fish “attack” you and nibble your skin gently. Because your skin is the only one way for them to breed and eat. Don’t worry, doctor fishes need only bad skin, healthy skin will be left with you!

The first spa of this kind has appeared in Singapore, than in Turkey. These procedures are extremely popular in Asia (Taiwan, Japan). They are called Spa Fish Feet Reflexology.

According to the words of those who used to try such a treatment, it is rather exciting, small, cute fishes are gently nibbling your hands and feet, but there are 2 species of fish, and another species are bitten your hands and feet – so, before visiting these spas, decide what do you want. But, according to the official data, the whole procedure is painless, but be careful, every person has its own pain limit. In some cases, a spa treatment can turn to be an awful experience.

I am a little concern with the cleanliness at the fish spa tank. Many people soaking their feet inside the water and thinking of having nice, smooth skin after the session but what happen if someone with skin disorder also soak the feet there at the same time. Will the bacteria spread in the water tank?
