Paris Fashion Week (Spring 2008) has surprised me a little. I can name this state even as a shock. So, you have an opportunity to view the Paris prêt-à-porter season right now:

General moments:

  • a variety of bright colours, catwalks looked like a roost of colourful and rare butterflies: pink, red, yellow etc.
  • flowers, feathers, prints;
  • frocks, bows, kimonos;
  • either small or extremely big bags;
  • high-heeled shoes;

    Interesting moments:
  • Bird-women, floral and fauna prints, exotic trends, kimono-tunics, maxi-dresses, striped cardigans… Colours are bright, even bold. These all can be seen in the collection from Kenzo.

  • Alexander McQueen was a little bit nostalgic. We can see again hats from Philip Treacy and feel Isabella Blow presence (may be because a bottle of her perfume was given to every guest!). This season McQueen is mad about Japan, rainbow prints, sandals, lace inserts and kimono dresses.

  • Chanel. As for me, I adore their ready-to-walk collections, they are a bright combination of the heritage and modern. Most of all, I liked their stars, especially on dresses, they are so stylish and adorable.

  • Also, I liked new Galliano’s vision of the world and business dress-code. They are thought-provoking and are a perfect reflection of Marlene Dietrich style.

  • Lanvin frocks are so gentle and at the same time sexy, they are made for special occasions. In this dresses, women seem to be like flowers. So, delicious!

Not very interesting moments:

  • The boots for this spring. To my mind, they are too bright and can be worn only while participating in a fantasy fiction movie or if you are Lindsey Lohan and always ready to shock people…

    hey, i love the fashion. it is safisticated, trendy, and UBER cute! but, the models need more expression. i know it is all about safistacation and posture, but add more face color. it is fashion, GO WILD. make up can be colorful and fun.
