Fashion Week

After nine years of absence, Vivienne Westwood has finally returned to London with her new Red Label collection for Autumn/Winter 2008 at London Fashion Week 2008.

She hasn’t changed a lot, the Red Label collection was launched in 1994 to offer apparel in Westwood’s imitative style to a wider circle of people.  The emphasize is made on Westwood’s never-dying interest in Savile Row tailoring and French couture clothes.

The Red Label is created for those who not only want to look stylish, but adores something unique and innovative, multiplied by a traditional British sense of style.

The inspiration of this collection was the young women of the 1970′s and it is full of very short dresses, mini-skirts,extremely big buttons, blazers etc.

The show was opened with a model wearing shocking (for the show!) and widely-recognized “Guantanamo Orange” underpants. And it was only a beginning, then the audience saw a girl with a placard protesting for the rights of all prisoners at Guantanamo.

Vivienne Westwood’s stuff is historical. I would love to explore her closet and see what her must-haves are. Just like stylist Patricia Field, they get even more cooler with age.

The same with me. I think her wardrobe contains a lot of unexpected things and mysteries. May be one day, she will share her main secrets with us!

Christian from the current Project Runway season worked with her and I can definately see how her style rubbed off on him. I love the classic fashion staples from the past!

The same with me. Some of her clothes are too provocative, some are not for me… but the idea is great, I adore brave women and their bold decisions.

Exactly. This is what I envision as the future of "fashion" for those over 40. On your birthday, you will get a government-issued black suit, flat black shoes and a short bowl cut hairdo. No makeup or personal expression of any kind will be allowed whether you

I'm so happy for Angelina. She deserves to get married because she's a good person. Before I thought she hates marriages. Good thing that Brad change his perceptions.

agree! if you have a good figure and can carry it off why not? though I do think that mini skirts on over 45s is a bit too young..I have 2 daughters aged 25 and 30,and am told I look about 40..but still wouldn't wear a mini..
