To tell the truth, I start hating this, I am not enough of summer hot trends yet and now it’s time to pick up autumn’s and winter’s ones. It’s so challenging ))) Don’t you think so? Anyway, before providing you with the full report from Paris Fashion Week (Haute Couture, Autumn/Winter Season 2009) let me share with some picture of celebrities attending them.
Claudia Schiffer looked a bit unusual (I mean not in her usual way). She has some resemblance to a secretary, but I like her look.

It goes without saying, that Brazilian Fashion Week has nothing in common with the Paris one. But, it doesn’t mean, that we mustn’t cover it at all, yeah? Want to know why? At least, because I really love Gisele Bundchen and then I suppose, this coverage is the smallest favour I can do for them. It’s not much, yeah? Especially when the show was that nice.
Unfortunately, my beloved Brazilian supermodel Gisele Bundchen was absent ((( but young designers didn’t fail, they tried their best and showed us really hot collections. The spring/summer 2009 collection was devoted to the theme of recycling, Rio Fashion Week offered a fresh new outlook to fashion. Main motto: “Rethink, Recycle, Renew”. The event will end June 13th.
The first designer to enjoy is Maria Bonita Extra with her lovely elegant silhouettes, flowers and hats. Charming )))

New York Fashion Week 2008 is the main focal point of this week. I have already written about some of collections and if those trends and fashion brands failed to satisfy your taste, I am sure that you will find things that you are looking for from the following collections:
Thanks to the Couture In The City Blog we all know, that the Fall 2008 Bagdley Mischka line was fabulous…like, duh. And what is more, they can inspire us to paint our nails that vampy shade. Find more in a great article Badgley Mischka, New York Fashion Week, Fall 2008.
Then come Marc By Marc Jacobs Autumn/Winter 2008/2009 Collection. The collection is very bold, bright, full of various dresses, headbands, stripes, sunglasses, main colours are: black, pink, green and a new absolute favorite - yellow. Big congrats to Marc, more than nice!
And, of course, I cannot but mention DKNY, oh, lovely: a lot of dresses, half-sleeves, high-waist, red and all its variants and tones, I found it here - FashionMagDaily.

No doubts, Kiev (the capital of Ukraine, is not a famous fashion capital or a city) but the 1st article in my category Fashion Weeks will start namely from it. Why? Not because my friends lives there or just ’cause I like this country, but because Ukrainian Fashion Week 2006 has reminded us about the existence of a very urgent and important problem, its name is AIDS/HIV. And it was a very important issue to view and Ukrainian Fashion Week 2007 was devoted to marriage and wedding days…
A tribute to the history… Famous Ukrainian designer Alexey Zalevsiky presented his spring-summer collection 2007 and it looked a little bit unusual: first of all, there were 50 model at the show - 5 of them have HIV. Then, clothes - a condom headdresses or a hair-do with syringes. Collection of Alexey is a very warm one and it conveys a lot of positive emotions. The Ukrainian ANTIAIDS Foundation has supported this action and project.

It was only a tribute and what about this one… This Ukrainian Fashion Week was the 10th one, it started in the capital of Ukraine and contained collections from both famous Ukrainian designers and new names, more than 40 designers were present.
The Fashion Week was opened with the models from Lilia Pustovit. By the way, not so far her clothes appeared in the boutiques of London and Tokyo. The catwalk started with the clothes in grey and black colours in combination with pink and yellow shoes. What about shoes? Ballerina pumps!

Salut, dear readers and guests, today I would like to inform you about an appearance of a new category - FASHION WEEKS! Why I have decided to make it? Because fashion weeks are integral part of the Big World of Fashion. Each Fashion Week is a very important event, actually, WEEK - because it lasts one week and during this period fashion designers are able to show their latest fashion collections. No doubts, the unforgettable shows go on in Paris, New York, London and Milan, but other countries try to follow their examples and to create their own amazing collections.

In the above-mentioned cities Fashion Weeks are semiannual shows. There are “autumn” fashion weeks (it is all about the latest fall collections - January-March) and “spring” fashion weeks (from September to November). A common question: why they are held so early? Because, other designers need time to create new clothes and get acquainted with main season trends and shops need to make orders and decide what to buy.
Nowadays, fashion weeks look more like an advertisement or an entertaining event, a lot of celebrities, stars and VIP’s visit them. Very often it is possible to meet there singers, actors and attend performances. Sometimes, even designing schools participate in these shows. Moreover, there are some special, I mean specific Fashion Weeks (devoted to swimwear, resort clothes or ready-to-wear).
The first Fashion week had nothing in common with a present one…
