The first place occupies, Couture In The City Blog. I liked an article about celebrity Halloween Costumes. Really, as for me, some celebrities confuse what it is all about, about style or about Halloween… It is so easy to write something not very pleasant about other people (even if it is true), when somebody has already started, yeah?

The second place goes to Fashion Verbatim Blog. It is really great to be an expert and to notice flaws in styles of celebrities. I hope one day, I will be able to do the same.

And, finally, Style Critics Blog. Oh, it is almost impossible to cheat its writers, they can notice even a small drawback! And it is very good, out stars and celebrities can’t relax, they must always look hundred-per-cent!

Haute couture clothes are expensive and luxurious, in such dresses you will feel yourself like a Queen or one in a million girl. But, there is one more category – ready-to-wear clothes or more known to us as pret-a-porter clothing. More about them…

Modern fashion industry clothes can be divided into two main categories – “haute couture” and “ready-to-wear”. No doubts, couture fashion designers are very popular and are aimed only for extremely wealthy clients, moreover, in order to be able to produce “haute couture clothes” they have to get an official permission from the Syndical Chamber for Haute Couture, it is based in Paris. Because of this agreement, designers have to show their collections twice a year and not less than 35 outfits in one collection. As a rule, these outfits are exposed in private salons.

So, now, let’s pay our attention to ready-to-wear clothes. Traditionally, they are made for ordinary people, not for representatives of the upper-class society. This apparel comes in various sizes. Further, these collections can be viewed as designers one. It goes without saying, that such collections can be seen at various catwalks. Also, there is such a notion as confection collections – deal with clothes that we can see and buy in shops. This collections are aimed to satisfy the demands of masses.

A lot of popular and influential brands create exceptionally ready-to-wear collections, but still can make some haute couture clothes upon a special request. So, having seen or heard an announcement that soon this or that designer is going to show his ready-to-wear collection, be sure, in a month or 2 you will be able to buy things from him in his boutique, via email or online sales. Pay attention! An inscription – “Madonna in Dior” and “Madonna in Gaultier couture” means, that in the 1st case Madonna wears ready-to-wear clothes and in the 2nd case she in in haute couture clothes from Gaultier.

It is not a secret, that almost each Fashion house produces ready-to-wear collections. They bring a lot of money and clients, because of a quicker and bigger volume turnover, also, they cost less and many people can afford them. By the way, they look adorable as well. What is more, ready-to-wear clothing is casual, informal, can be worn everyday and is very practical. Ready-to-wear collections are presented at Fashion Weeks.

And, now, one of the most tricky questions, what to choose? Actually, if you budget is low, don’t even try to lean over backwards and to buy such expensive things. But, if you are a doctor, a lawyer or occupy a very high position, please, think about your clothes. Be sure, that your watch, shoes and suit are great, expensive and were bought without season discounts. Why? Because you are working with people, and if you meet one of your clients while looking for a jacket from sales, he will think that your incomes are rather vague and small, so there is no use to visit you once again. Try not to spoil your own reputation.

Hello, dear friends, while writing articles for Glamorous Fashion I discovered to myself a lot of new sides of life and facts, I found out, that people can be cruel and unfair, because of nothing or because they just envy you, also they can have a lot of prejudices, because they just got separated with their beloved people or they feel unwell since the early morning and there is no better way to recover, than to spoil someone’s great mood.

A corset, tends to be a very popular thing to wear. It can be worn because of two reasons – medical or in order to obtain a desirable shape of your waist. Nowadays, corset can be just a decorative detail, fashionable trend (such corsets just possess the shape of a corset, but have nothing in common with it) but here we will talk about corsets, real corsets.

By the way, corsets were worn by both women and men. Etymology of this word comes from France, it is a derivation from the French word – cors, that can be interpreted as – body diminution. Main purpose of a real corset, is to make you look sexy, slim and attractive. It can pay attention of people to your sexy curves, make any waist smaller, hips bigger. Moreover, they can make your body posture, wearing a corset, it is almost impossible to sit in a Z-letter posture. Men used corsets as well, and they made their waists thinner.

Present-day corsets wearing

For many years corsets were forgotten and their value underrated. Corset was only a necessary item of women lingerie and in 1920’s it turned to be a fashionable, even stylish detail of a wardrobe. In 2001 after the release of the famous movie Moulin Rouge, corset became incredibly popular.

Advantages of corset wearing

• ensures a perfect posture;
• much more comfortable than bras (for large-breasted women);
• emphasizes curves of the body;
• shallow breathing can lure men;
• makes you feel warmer;

Disadvantages of wearing a corset

• fainting; no comments;
• bad corset can damage your liver and stomach;
• lower ribs can be deformed;

Construction

Traditionally, corsets are made from a flexible material, and armoured with special sticks (in order to keep the needed shape). Many years ago, sticks were made from steel or whalebone, also, there can be sticks made from goose quill , but these corsets tends to be not so expensive and not of high quality. There is a special craft, used to denote corset making, it is called corsetry. Typically, parts of the corset are joined together with a help of lace. It is really challenging to make back-corset lacing by yourself, so previously, there were special people, women who used to lace corsets perfectly.

Comfortable wearing

Earlier corsets used to be worn underneath a special garment and they were laced rather strictly. Later, in the 2nd half of the 19th century, was invented a sport corset, a corset for wearing while going in for sports (bicycle riding, for instance). There is a common misunderstanding that corsets can’t be comfortable, actually, this statement is true, while the 1st week of wearing, then you become accustomed to it and feel yourself in a rather comfortable way.

Useful information about corset wearing

Remember, corsets are not T-shirts and not a bra, if a corset has straps, it is not a real corset. Do not even try to mask a corset, everybody will notice it. While wearing a corset for more than 1 hour, it is very important to wear something underneath. If you are going to travel in your corset, it is very important to wear it looser, otherwise, you will feel uncomfortable. Do not try to reduce your waist to minimum, while wearing corset for the first time. For your bridal-dress try to choose a build in corset, it will be mush more comfortable to you. And, by the way, corsets are very sexy, they are tempting and can make men go crazy! Be careful…

John Galliano can be named as one of the most authoritative fashion designers of our time. John was born in Gibraltar in 1960, but he spent his childhood in London and has both his own label and is a chief designer of France’s haute couture flagship, Christian Dior, in Paris. Galliano is a provocateur, he is an inventor and a creator. His fashion shows are going everywhere, sometimes, I think, there is no place in the world, which Galliano can’t choose for his catwalk (let’s just remember the Opéra Garnier in Paris ).

So, small biographical data: John Galliano was in Juan Carlos in 1960 (it is in Gibraltar). Galliano has 2 sisters, named: Rosemary and Immacula. His 1st school was in Spain (because his mother is Spanish, namely from this country started his love to bright colours and various combinations of fabrics). After Spain Galliano’s family moved to London and afterwards to Dulwich (it is still their family nest). John was a very bad, naughty, ill-behaviored pupil of the Wilson’s Grammar School for Boys. Interesting peculiarity of his family: every child used to be worn perfectly (even while going for a 5-minutes-walk). Home atmosphere was a little bit reserved, so, when Galliano moved back to London to study design at East London College he understood, that this ambience of full carelessness and independence is exactly for him, so it was a beginning of his rising as a future well-known fashion designer. Galliano worked hard and it was a good work.

Already 1st collection of Galliano made a revolution in the world of Fashion. The collection was a completely romantic one, with dresses, huge accessories, organdie shirts etc. He showed it to Joan Burstein (a trader) and she was astonished with his clothes, so unusual, vivid and bold they were. Afterwards, came the period of difficulties and Galliano had to change his place of living: London for Paris and it worked! Good luck has smiled to Galliano! He met Anna Wintour ( editor-in-chief of American Vogue magazine). She helped him greatly in organization of his 1st show and further promotion. Kate Moss, Naomi Campbell and Christy Turlington were his models, but more because of friendship with Anna. But he didn’t betray her and his show was of great success!
