Paris Fashion Week (Spring 2008) has surprised me a little. I can name this state even as a shock. So, you have an opportunity to view the Paris prêt-à-porter season right now:

General moments:

  • a variety of bright colours, catwalks looked like a roost of colourful and rare butterflies: pink, red, yellow etc.
  • flowers, feathers, prints;
  • frocks, bows, kimonos;
  • either small or extremely big bags;
  • high-heeled shoes;

Slimane Van Assche

There was a debut at Paris men’s fashion week. A popular brand Christian Dior was represented by Belgian designer Kris van Assche. Van Assche’s style is completely different from the previous designer of this Fashion House Hedi Slimane. Hedi was crazy about rock and roll and its tributes and Kris paid attention to 18th-century style.

It is a completely another story to tell. Just imagine, beautiful models, stand motionless under crystal chandeliers, wearing white clothes, Great deal of attention was paid to the details.

Slimane was noticed by the audience and its fans. He is a talented designer, inventor in the sphere of fashion. Let’s just remember, that Karl Lagerfeld lost 93 pounds just to be fit into his leather suit.

Van Assche was Slimane’s assistant, he was taught his main techniques and style, tendencies and trends. But, society already feels the lack of good things for men. Editor-in-chief of magazine Vogue Hommes International, Olivier Lalanne mentioned that he already misses Slimane. He was a revolutionary. He was not afraid to provoke people and to shock them! People do not believe that it is exactly the situation, when an apprentice exceeds his teacher!

These heels are great~!! It's a mix of the Victorian style w/ the uber current peep-toe platform stilletto. SO CUTE! I also love how the designer pokes fun at Marie-Antoinettes elaborate wig trends! (The ankle strap is her hair with a ship decor at the top) ~<3

Leopard Body: Sexy or Not?
by Jasmin Rose
I feel it just a matter of style and class some people know how to wear them.. something else if you have a nice body and have a certain sense of style trust me it draws attention but on a positive note.. it shows you have sex appeal and confidence
