Fine diamond jeweler, Royal Asscher, recently launched a new collection named Stars of Africa dedicated to the company’s Africa-focused fundraising initiative, Star of Africa. The Star of Africa program by Royal Asscher was launched in 2008 to advance the infrastructure in Africa by creating funding for healthcare, education and self sufficiency programs. The name of the project not just represented the largest diamond ever found, at 3,105 carats that the Asscher family cut in 1908, but also reflected the truth that the Star of Africa was the continents’ precious people.
