Jimmy Choo (his real name is difficult to pronounce and even more difficult to remember – Jimmy Choo Yeang Kit). Actually, his name must be spelled Chow, but while registering his name was heard wrong, so Jimmy got a completely another surname with the same pronunciation. This man a well-known shoes designer, his main boutique is in London. May be not occasionally, the surname of Jimmy has strong resemblance to Shoes – the sense of his life.

Jimmy Choo was born in 1961 in Penang. It is located in Malaysia His parents are shoemakers. His first shoe was made at 11 years. He didn’t even finished the school education, but he graduated from the College, he worked as a waiter, cleaner and then at the shoe-factory. He is a lucky dog – his works were noticed by Tamara Mellon, an editor of the UK Vogue. They became partners in shoe business and opened their first factory and boutique. This gave Jimmy Choo an opportunity to concentrate on work and not to think about financial side. Their aim was to make a chain of stores in the whole style capitals of the world. Since 2001 there were opened 26 new boutiques and Jimmy Choo began creating not only shoes, but handbags as well. Tamara Mellon and Sandra Choi considered to be two women who helped Choo to work. They are art directors. Diana, the Princess of wales was a fan of Jimmy Choo shoes, The designer said, that it is impossible to count how many shoes he had made for her, especially after her divorce with Prince Charles, when Diana was finally able to wear high-healed shoes. Previously she couldn’t do it, because her husband was smaller than she.

Main motto of the company: “It doesn’t matter what you are wearing, if you have good shoes and a good bag, you will look right”.

Not full list of celebrities wearing shoes from Jimmy Choo: Victoria Beckham, Naomi Watts, Jennifer Garner, Scarlett Johansen, Jennifer Lopez, Lindsay Lohan etc. As a rule, they wear shoes from Jimmy Choo onto very special occasions, such as Red carpet awards.

Jimmy Choo has a lot of awards, in 2003 he was awarded an OBE from the Queen of England, because due to him London turned to be the fashion centre.
