Tiffany is a prominent US jewelry company. In 1837 it was founded by Charles Lewis Tiffany. Originally, they were selling stationery items and only since 1853 turned their direction towards jewelry.
At the corner of the 5th Avenue and 57th Street (Manhattan, in New York City) is situated a main store of Tiffany. This store is famous worldwide, because of “Breakfast at Tiffany’s” with Audrey Hepburn, “Gentlemen Prefer Blondes” with Marilyn Monroe and “Sweet Home Alabama”.
In 1845 was published the 1st Tiffany catalog, named “Blue Book” (it is still published nowadays). In 1862 this company supplied the Union Army with flags and swords.
